Yael Halpern

“Sports massage gives an athlete 20 percent more in the areas of performance, injury prevention, flexibility and career longevity.”
-Jack Meager, Sports Massage

Yael Halpern, former owner of the award-winning Bodywork Center, has returned to private practice at the Run Strong Studio in order to spend more time focusing on the act of massage, rather than the business of it.  After 15 years in the industry, Yael delights in the process of integrating the body, mind and spirit of her clients through the art of therapeutic bodywork.  Yael brings perspective and awareness to her clients’ bodies through her purposeful and healing touch.  Her work has an emphasis in osteopathic modalities including: sport specific massage, specific injury work & craniosacral therapy.

Coupled with her work in her private practice, Yael has served as a proud volunteer for the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork’s Ethics and Standards Committee and contributed to Massage & Bodywork Magazine. Most recently, She worked with The Benjamin Institute to provide quality, online, continuing education.

Yael received her certification, in 2000, at the Scherer Institute of Natural Healing in Santa Fe, New Mexico.  She combined this with an oncology program where she volunteered at the New Mexico Oncology Clinic.
